Some 150 scientists from various countries (USA, Italy, France, Germany, England, Switzerland, Austria and Spain) have participated from July 2 to 4 in the IX-NyNA-2019 Congress organized by the Group for Analytical Spectroscopy and Sensors (GEAS ) of the Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences of Aragon (IUCA) of the University of Zaragoza.
The Organizing Committee chaired by Prof. Juan R Castillo, Emeritus Professor of Analytical Chemistry, scheduled 6 work sessions, where topics related to the development of nano (bio) sensors based on nanomaterials and nanostructures, innovations in techniques of detection, characterization and quantification of nanomaterials in complex samples.
The works that have been presented on biosensors for analysis from cells to whole organs, or sensory systems for quantification of intracellular vesicles, thermo-ELISAS to quantify cancer biomarkers, new proposals for the development of Analytical Nanometrology, new detection techniques have been especially relevant. of nanoplastics and micro / nano self-propelled motors for biosensory systems with high electro and photocatalytic performance.
The event, organized in the modern and excellent CaixaForum Zaragoza building, has received wide praise from those attending the Congress, both for the setting itself, and its organization, as well as for the high scientific quality of the plenary conferences and communications presented.
