The OUTBIOTICS Project, coordinated by the GEAS research group, has been selected to be able to present its results at the POCTEFA event, which will be held in Bilbao, on 4-5 October 2022. Of the 175 POCTEFA projects scheduled for the 2014-2020 period invited to participate in this contest, the OUTBIOTICS project has turned out to be one of the 20 that has received the most votes.

Outbiotics is a project of the European Territorial Cooperation Program POCTEFA 2014-20, through which a cross-border cooperation network (Spain-France) is created for the development of technologies in the diagnosis, prevention and elimination of emerging contaminants (antibiotics) in the territory’s waters (http://outbiotics.unizar.es).

The presentation of the OUTBIOTICS project will be made by the project coordinator, Dr. Francisco Laborda (University of Zaragoza, director of the GEAS group), and will take place on October 4 at 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. (still to confirm the specific time). There will be round tables in which the 20 selected projects will have the opportunity to present their experiences and, especially, their results. The sessions will feature institutional representatives from the POCTEFA Program and the European Commission.

The objective is to make known what the OUTBIOTICS project has consisted of, what the results obtained are and how they benefit the territory and its inhabitants. The event will have simultaneous translation in Spanish and French.
