The GEAS group has participated very actively in the “European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry” (Pau, France, 3-8 February 2019). Prof. Castillo is a member of the Continuation Committee of the organization of this congress.
Under the Nanomaterial Analysis topic, five communications have been presented with the themes of single particle-ICP-MS (inductively coupled single particle plasma coupled to mass spectrometry) for the detection of nanoparticles, characterization of gold and silver nanoparticles by Hydrodynamic chromatography coupled to ICP-MS, use of mini-channels in AF4-ICP-MS for the characterization of titanium oxide nanoparticles in consumer products, characterization of silver species from in vitro gastrointestinal digestions, and detection of nanoparticles from additives of food by ICP-MS.
In the single particle analysis session, Prof. F. Laborda presented the oral communication “About detection and detection limits in sp-ICP-MS”, who also acted as chairman in the parallel session on nanoparticles in the environment.
