The group has been awarded a pre-doctoral contract within the IberusTalent call, in the Agri-Food and Nutrition Area, for the line of research presented by the Iberus Excellence Action Group, in which the GEAS group participates, entitled : «Towards a sustainable use of new nanobactericides in the frontier of fight with antimicrobial resistance», of which Prof. Juan R. Castillo is Principal Investigator.

The IberusTalent project is funded in the 2017 call for Marie Slodowska Curie actions in the COFUND line of the European Union.The selected one has been the Tunisian Ben Jeddou Khaoula graduated in Biology with a Master in Biology and Environment and another in Sciences of the food quality and chemistry of natural products.

Her future doctoral thesis work will be framed within the POCTEFA – OUTBIOTICS project, within the GEAS group, and will focus on the development of new nanobactericides with greater capacity and with less impact on the environment.
