The IBERUS (Iberus Campus of International Excellence) CAMPUS OF INTERNATIONAL EXCELLENCE (CEI) is an initiative of the public universities of the Autonomous Communities of Aragon, Navarra and La Rioja, as well as that of the province of Lleida in Catalonia. One of the main objectives of CEI Iberus is to achieve teaching and research excellence. To do this, it is promoting, through various programs, various areas of specialization, in order to take on increasingly ambitious scientific challenges and to position itself at the forefront of knowledge at an international level. This challenge includes the strategic aggregation of research groups from Campus Iberus universities and their sustainable interaction with the business fabric of their regions. This call recognizes under the “Iberus” seal actions that promote the aggregation of researchers from Iberus universities.
These actions should serve as a lever for other public and private contributions that allow, jointly, to act on the strategic lines of Campus Iberus. Its objective is to promote the constitution of Action Groups made up of researchers belonging to Campus Iberus universities, who seek a sustainable aggregation of their research and innovation capacities, gathering a critical mass and the capacity to lead projects at European level. Action Groups that have a clear potential to attract new competitive funds, mainly European, for the development of research and innovation projects in the strategic areas of activity of Campus Iberus are recognized.
